Port Byron Man Accused of Violating Order of Protection

A Port Byron man was arrested twice over 48 hours by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.

On November 24th, deputies responded to the Church Street apartments in Port Byron for a reported domestic incident. Through an investigation, it was determined Maurice Streeter had allegedly threatened physical harm and chased the victim out of their apartment in the presence of three children. Streeter was charged with menacing and endangering the welfare of a child. He was released to appear in court at a later and a Full Stay Away Order of Protection was issued on behalf of the victim and children.

On November 25th, deputies were dispatched to the same address in Port Byron and arrested Streeter for allegedly violating the Order of Protection. Streeter was charged with four counts of criminal contempt and sent to Cayuga County Jail following his arraignment.
