The recovery of ballistic armor from a home in the city of Auburn resulted in the arrest of a Throop man.

Authorities were requested to check a residence in Throop for a suspect who was allegedly involved in an aggravated harassment complaint in Auburn. After Cayuga County Sheriff’s Deputies placed John Zelehowsky into custody and brought him to the Auburn Police Department for an interview, police searched the residence where he was found and recovered the armor.

Zelehowsky was charged unlawful purchase and possession of ballistic armor. He was released on an appearance ticket for Throop Town Court.
