A Penn Yan man whose license was suspended 37 years ago was arrested by Penn Yan Police following a Main Street traffic stop.

A check of Robert Boyce’s license revealed his driving privileges were revoked on June 3rd, 1987 for driving while intoxicated. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was confirmed to be Boyce by his New York State identification.

Boyce was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and will appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
