A Geneva man was charged with petit larceny following an incident at a City of Canandaigua restaurant.

58-year-old Anthony Evans is accused of entering the restaurant and stealing a takeout order that was on the counter. Evans left the area in his car but was stopped a short time later on State Routes 5 and 20.

After being arraigned in CAP Court, Evans was released on an appearance ticket for Canandaigua City Court.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
