An Elmira man has been arrested on a felony charge of burglary after he allegedly broke into a Steuben County home.
Police say the home Kyle Mehnert broke into on Tannery Creek Road in the town of Caton had a 13-year-old child inside at the time. Mehnert was also charged with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child and driving while ability impaired by drugs.
The 32-year-old was taken to Steuben County Jail to await arraignment.
