Police: Driver’s Failure to Yield Causes Collision in Seneca Falls

Three people were injured in a motor vehicle collision Friday afternoon in Seneca Falls at the State Routes 5 and Route 414 intersection.

According to Seneca Falls Police, the accident was caused by a northbound car that failed to yield the right of way for oncoming traffic, which caused to second car to collide head-on. Both drivers and a passenger were taken to Geneva General Hospital following the accident for minor injuries.

The drivers involved were not identified and police did not indicate if the driver at fault was issued a ticket. The roadway was briefly shut down but re-opened a short time later

The Seneca Falls Fire Department, North Seneca Ambulance, and Fingerlakes Ambulance assisted the Seneca Falls Police Department.
