The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Phelps woman following a larceny complaint at the Marion Speedway.
Deputies say 39-year-old Jennifer Heidemann concealed two pieces of candy and left the store without paying. She was charged with petit larceny.
Heidemann was released on an appearance ticket and will answer the charge at a later date in Marion Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
