A traffic stop near the intersection of Buffalo Street Extension and State Route 5 in Canandaigua resulted in the arrest of a 19-year-old Phelps man Friday night.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Daniel Amos was determined to be driving the vehicle while impaired by drugs through a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was arrested.

Amos was issued Uniform Traffic Tickets for driving while impaired by drugs, speeding, failure to affix registration to the windshield, and using cannabis inside a car on the highway.

Amos will appear in Canandiagua Town Court at a later date.
