Penn Yan Man Accused of Stealing Donated Cans From Baptist Church

Police have arrested a Penn Yan man who they claim stole donated cans from First Baptist Church in the village.

Edward Galvin the Third is accused of being in possession of the cans at a local redemption center, which was to be donated to the Boys Scouts of America. The 35-year-old was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and issued an appearance ticket.

Galvin was then taken to Geneva where he was turned over to the Newark Police Department on two outstanding bench warrants.
