The investigation into a complaint at a Penn Yan apartment complex resulted in the arrest of a 45-year-old Penn Yan woman.

An investigation found that Tabitha Stevens allegedly caused a disturbance in the parking lot while leaving a small child unattended in her residence for an extended period of time.

Stevens was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and was released on an appearance ticket.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
