A Penn Yan woman has a date in court after she admitted to police she stole $1,000 out of a purse that belonged to another woman.
Days after the complaint was filed, Penn Yan Police say 56-year-old Sandra Shriver admitted to them she took the money.
Shriver was charged with petit larceny and released on an appearance ticket for village court.
