Penn Yan Man Taken to Hospital After Hopewell Car Accident

A Penn Yan man was taken to the hospital after a Monday car crash in Hopewell.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, 62-year-old James Multer was waiting in traffic on Routes 5 & 20 when he was struck from behind by 18-year-old Ella Quigley. Multer was taken to Thompson Hospital for a checkover.

The Geneva teen was uninjured and was cited for following too closely

Law enforcement was assisted at the scene by the Hopewell Fire Department and Canandaigua Ambulance.
