A 63-year-old Penn Yan man was arrested this week on a warrant for violating probation.
Penn Yan Police say Ronald McQuaid was taken into custody without incident at his home after a warrant was issued for his arrest by Yates County Court. He was brought to the Penn Yan Police Department for processing and later arraigned in court.
Following his arraignment, McQuaid was remanded to the Yates County Jail.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
