Penn Yan Police have charged a local man with harassment following an incident at a village business.

Police say Theodore Auld, 53, of Penn Yan, was issued a criminal summons for second-degree harassment after allegedly entering a local store while intoxicated and subjecting an employee to unwanted physical contact.

Officers report the summons was issued without incident. Auld is scheduled to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
