A Penn Yan man has been arrested on harassment charges.
Penn Yan Police say Brien Swinehart was taken into custody on a criminal summons for second-degree harassment after he allegedly physically threatened another person during a verbal argument.
Swinehart was released after being issued the summons and is scheduled to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
