Penn Yan Man Arrested on Felony Charges in Seneca Falls

The Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested a Penn Yan man on multiple felony charges Saturday evening.

Police say 28-year-old William Habecker was taken into custody on charges of grand larceny in the third degree, a Class D felony; falsifying business records in the first degree, a Class E felony; scheme to defraud in the first degree, a Class E felony; and criminal impersonation in the second degree, an A misdemeanor.

According to police, Habecker was arrested without incident. He was processed at the Seneca Falls Police Department and released on an appearance ticket.

Habecker is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court at a later date to answer the charges.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
