Penn Yan Police arrested a local man after a disturbance at a downtown establishment.

Officers say 45-year-old Jesus Santiago-Ramirez refused to leave when asked by staff and became disorderly. Upon arrival, police repeatedly asked Santiago-Ramirez to leave, but he continued to refuse.

He was taken to the Penn Yan Police Department, processed, and released on an appearance ticket to return to court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
