The investigation into a domestic incident in the village of Penn Yan resulted in the arrest of a 31-year-old Penn Yan man.
Aaron Vermilye is accused of choking an individual to the point where the person thought they were going to lose consciousness. He is accused of getting on top of the victim and choking them, leaving marks.
Vermilye was taken into custody on charges of criminal obstruction of breathing and harassment.
