The investigation into a complaint of theft from a local store in the village of Penn Yan resulted in the arrest of a Penn Yan man.
Using video surveillance, the Penn Yan Police Department was able to observe 66-year-old Barry Lampson allegedly stealing merchandise from the store. Lampson was brought to the police department where it was revealed he was in possession of one of the stolen items.
Lampson was charged with petit larceny and released on an appearance ticket for Penn Yan Village Court.
