Police arrested a Penn Yan man after he allegedly shot a firearm multiple times at another person during a domestic incident.

The Yates County Sheriff’s Office alleges that Daniel Smith menacingly fired the weapon towards another person after engaging in a domestic disturbance with them just after 2 a.m. Saturday at a State Route 14A location in the town of Milo.

Smith was charged with menacing and was held for arraignment at the Yates County Jail.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
