Ovid Man Arrested on Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

A traffic stop in the area of State Route 96A and Country Road 132A in Romulus Town Court resulted in the arrest of the driver on drug charges.

40-year-old Robert Prentice, of Ovid, was pulled over initially for allegedly not having a functioning headlamp. A roadside investigation by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and State Police led to the seizure of a small amount of cocaine.

Prentice was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and was released on an appearance ticket.
