On Tuesday, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Ontario woman following an investigation into a domestic dispute.
Brittany Berryman, 42, was taken into custody after deputies determined she was allegedly in violation of an active “stay away” order of protection. Berryman is charged with two counts of Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Following her arrest, she was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
Berryman was subsequently taken to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
