A Steuben County man is charged with assault following a shooting.
State Police were called to a home on State Route 415 in Avoca just after 6 Monday night after receiving a third-party call from a neighbor that stated someone had been shot. 66-year-old Willie Faniel was arrested and the victim was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital.
There has been no update on the victim’s identity or the extent of his injuries.
