A Newark woman has been arrested on a warrant issued out of Canandaigua City Court.

Aprillina Alicea was arrested on a bench warrant at the Wayne County Jail. The warrant for Alicea was issued after she allegedly failed to appear in Canandaigua City Court for a previous offense.

Following her arrest, Alicea was brought to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment at CAP Court.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
