Police in Newark arrested a 23-year-old Newark woman for an incident that happened at the local Walmart.
According to officers, Ashley Beerse was spotted by asset protection concealing items under a blanket and attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. The merchandise was valued at $55.34. Asset Protection employees approached Beerse, who according to police, admitted to the crime.
Beerse was released on an appearance ticket for Newark Village Court
