An investigation into a trespass complaint in the village of Newark resulted in the arrest of a 38-year-old resident.
At the request of the Newark Police Department, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department responded to the Walmart store in Newark Saturday afternoon for the report of a man in the store who had been previously advised that he was not allowed on the property. When deputies arrived, they found Nathaniel Clay at the store and arrested him.
Clay was charged with criminal trespass and ordered to appear in Newark Village Court next month.
