The investigation into a domestic dispute that occurred Monday morning at a residence on Sunderville Road in the town of Galen resulted in the arrest of a Newark man.
It is alleged that 64-year-old Jerald Hughson entered the home without permission. According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Hughson had been previously informed numerous times that he was not allowed at the residence. It is also alleged that Jerald had been making contact with the victim with numerous phone calls and text messages.
Hughson was charged with stalking, trespass, and aggravated harassment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
