A Newark man was arrested this week on an outstanding warrant related to a drug possession case.

Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies say 38-year-old Gregory Naschke was taken into custody on a warrant issued by the Town of Williamson Court. The warrant stems from charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, originally filed following an investigation in May 2025.

Naschke allegedly failed to appear in court on multiple occasions. He was transported to the Wayne County Jail, where he will await arraignment in the Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) court.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
