A Newark man was arrested on Tuesday by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office on a bench warrant.
21-year-old Devon Ferrell-Deutenberg was arrested during a disturbance in the village of Newark. During the investigation, it was found that Ferrell-Deutenberg had an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear in Williamson Town Court. The original charges are from a domestic incident in the town of Williamson from September of 2022.
Following his arraignment, Ferrell-Deutenberg was ordered to appear back in court on a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
