A Newark man was arrested Monday on petit larceny charges.
According to Newark Police, Jaydon Rice was spotted by Walmart Asset Protection members selecting items from his cart and placing them into bags without scanning them at the self-checkout. The 20-year-old is then accused of attempting to leave the store without paying for the items.
Following his arraignment, Rice was released on appearance tickets for Newark Village Court.
