A 23-year-old Newark man was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a domestic incident in the Village of Clyde on Saturday.

Deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Sodus Street, where they reportedly noticed the odor of alcohol coming from Justin Liechti. After conducting standardized field sobriety tests, officers arrested Liechti for DWI.

A breathalyzer test confirmed a blood alcohol concentration of .16 percent, twice the legal limit.

Liechti was processed at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office before being taken to Wayne County Jail. He is expected to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charges.
