A Town of Venice man has a date in town court following the investigation into a one-car accident on Poplar Ridge Road and Putnam Parkway.
During its investigation, the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office determined the driver, Mark Walter, was allegedly in possession of a white crystal-like substance and a glass pipe. Deputies tested the substance, which came back positive for methamphetamine.
The 56-year-old Walter was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and was released on an appearance ticket.
