Police say an Interlaken man not only attempted to avoid arrest by jumping out of the second-floor window of a barn but he also jumped off a roof.

The incident began when Kyle Sinclair-Williams allegedly showed up at the address of a person who had an active order of protection against him. When police arrived, the 36-year-old refused to cooperate and that is when he jumped out of the barn window. After jumping off the roof, Sinclair-Williams continued to resist arrest and was combative with officers.

After being taken into custody, Sinclair-Williams was taken to Cayuga Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. Police then charged him with criminal contempt and resisting arrest.
