Man Arrested After Threatening to Blow Up Vehicle

One man is in trouble after threatening to blow up a vehicle in the Town of Sennett.

According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the area of Grant Avenue Road and Chestnut Ridge Road on November 2 for the report of a domestic violence incident.

Once there, they found Chad Taylor was a passenger in a vehicle engaged in an altercation with a woman. During the altercation, he allegedly threatened to blow up the vehicle by using a propane tank and lighter that was present at the scene.

Also inside were five children ranging in age from less than a year to under 16 years old.

Taylor was arrested, charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and released.
