Two plain clothes investigators with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office were surprised last week as they were conducting surveillance in a parking lot in the town of Hopewell when a man out of the blue approached their car and asked the duo if they were looking to buy drugs.

32-year-old Michael Waller of Hilton sold 13 Xanax bars to the two. The unsuspecting cops left the area soon after the transaction was completed and were replaced by Sheriff’s Deputies who watched Waller allegedly sell crack cocaine to another person in the same parking lot.

Waller was eventually charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance.
