A Lyons woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly biting a Wayne County Sheriff’s deputy while being arrested for trespassing on school property.

Deputies say 45-year-old Terri Lagrand had previously been issued a notice of trespass, barring her from all Lyons school district properties. Despite the ban, authorities say she entered one of the school buildings.

While being taken into custody, Lagrand allegedly resisted arrest and bit a deputy, causing injury. She was charged with assault, criminal trespass, and resisting arrest.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
