The Town of Seneca Falls Police Department reports the arrest of a Lyons man following a harassment complaint.

Just before 11 Sunday night, police arrested 36-year-old David Barnard after investigating a report involving repeated phone calls to a local business.

Police say the investigation determined Barnard repeatedly called the front desk clerk of the business in an attempt to alarm or harass the employee. He was later located by officers and issued an appearance ticket for harassment in the second degree, a violation.

Barnard is scheduled to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
