Lyons Man Arrested for Stealing Lighters

The investigation into a shoplifting incident in Wayne County on Saturday resulted in the arrest of a Lyons man.

It is alleged that 26-year-old Joseph Gonzalez stole multiple BIC lighters from the Kwik Fill convenience store in Lyons.

Gonzalez was arrested and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing. He was issued an appearance ticket for one count of petit larceny.

Gonzalez will appear in Lyons Town Court next week to answer the charge.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
