The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of 37-year-old Matthew Clark of Lyons following a traffic collision in the town.
Deputies were called to the intersection of Water Street and Broad Street after a crash with possible injuries. Upon investigation, Clark was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and submitted to a chemical test, which revealed a blood alcohol content of .11 percent.
Clark was issued tickets for Driving While Intoxicated and DWI with a BAC over .08 percent. He is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date.
Wayne County EMS assisted deputies at the scene.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
