A traffic stop in the village of Newark resulted in the arrest of a Lyons man.
It is alleged while being a passenger of a car on a traffic stop, Morgan Case was found to be in possession of metal knuckles and consuming an alcoholic beverage. The 21-year-old was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, an open container, and a seat belt violation.
Case was released on an appearance ticket for Newark Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
