On Monday, members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 63-year-old Locke man following an investigation into the violation of a court order.

Michael Yaw was charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor. The arrest stems from an investigation opened in February into allegations that, while incarcerated at the Cayuga County Jail, Yaw contacted the protected party of a full stay-away Order of Protection multiple times between December 2025 and January.

Based on the evidence gathered during the investigation, Yaw was taken into custody and processed. He was subsequently arraigned at the Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) Court and is currently being held at the Cayuga County Jail.
