Ithaca Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday afternoon in the city.
Officers say they responded to the 300 Block of West Buffalo Street at approximately 12:30p where they found a victim with a gunshot wound. The suspected shooter fled the scene before police arrived
The victim was taken to a regional trauma center with non-life-threatening injuries and police believe this was not a random act.
