An Ithaca man could spend the rest of his life behind bars after being sentenced for a home invasion that occurred back in October of 2021.

39-year-old Clifton Bibbins was sentenced to 20 years to life for burglary and 16 years to life for attempted robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.

The Tompkins County District Attorney’s Office said Bibbins was found guilty of assault after he pistol-whipped the home invasion victim and then shot that individual in the foot.
