An Ithaca resident was taken into custody early Wednesday morning after police responded to Stewart Avenue in the Tompkins County City for the report of a burglary in progress.
Upon arrival, police found 59-year-old Angel Arce within the vicinity of the home as he was actively attempting to break into another. Arce was taken into custody without incident. Arce was charged with felony attempted burglary and misdemeanor criminal trespass.
Arce was sent to Tompkins County Jail to await CAP arraignment.
