A 27-year-old Ithaca man was taken into custody after police responded to the 200 block of Fair Street in the city for an in-progress physical domestic.
Police say the victim allegedly had visible injuries stemming from the dispute when they arrived. Due to the severity of the crime and additional allegations of the suspect being armed with a weapon. Officers created a perimeter around the home and took Terry Short into custody a short time later.
Short was charged with aggravated criminal contempt, assault, and resisting arrest and was sent to Tompkins County Jail following arraignment.
