An Ithaca man faces a number of charges stemming from two different incidents, including one that involved a nine-year-old child.

When Ithaca Police responded to the area of Home Dairy Alley on the Commons they were met by the victim who told them her ex-boyfriend, 53-year-old Hodari Martin, allegedly used physical force to steal property during a domestic incident. It is also alleged that Martin grabbed a nine-year-old child who attempted to intervene to protect the victim and threw them down, causing the child to strike their head on the ground.

Police say Martin fled the scene and about two hours later is accused of harassing patrons on the Commons. As Officers attempted to interview Martin, he became physically combative and was eventually taken into custody.

Martin was brought to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

He was later charged with felony robbery along with misdemeanor charges of attempted assault, menacing, resisting arrest, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
