An inmate at the Wayne County Jail has been charged with promoting prison contraband following a search of jail cells.
The charges against Roy Wood the Third stem from corrections officers allegedly finding cigarettes and a lighter in his possession. He is confined to the corrections facility on an unrelated charge.
Wood was held in the Wayne County Jail to await CAP arraignment.
