A traffic stop conducted by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office on State Route 96 in the town of Fayette led to the arrest of an Onondaga County woman.

The arrest stems from deputies allegedly observing Carrie Cash’s vehicle committing several vehicle and traffic violations. Deputies stopped Cash and during the traffic stop investigation, she is accused of attempting to conceal evidence. It was determined that the Homer woman drove under the influence, which ultimately led to her arrest.

Cash was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Obstruction of Governmental Administration, Resisting Arrest, and Tampering with Physical Evidence, along with several Uniform Traffic Tickets.

Cash was subsequently transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where she was processed by Corrections Staff and later issued an appearance ticket. Cash is set to appear in the Fayette Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
