Hemlock Man Arrested on Two Counts of Grand Larceny

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 31-year-old Hemlock man on two counts of grand larceny.

Christopher Cassidy is accused of obtaining benefits from Ontario County DSS and the Geneva Housing Authority by filing false documents and failing to report his employment. Cassidy is accused of stealing $4,595.00 in SNAP benefits and $10,288 in Section Eight Housing Benefits.

Cassidy will answer the charges in Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
