On Thursday, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Joseph Arnold, 44, of Geneva, following an investigation into compliance with the New York State Sex Offender Registry.

Arnold was charged with two counts of Failure to Register an Address within 10 Days and Failure to Verify an Address every 90 days. Due to a previous conviction, both charges were elevated to Class D felonies.

Following a further investigation, authorities determined that Arnold did not reside at the address on file with the state registry. As a result, he faces additional felony charges for Perjury in the Second Degree and Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the First Degree.

Arnold was processed and transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
